U16 BOYS PREP 2026 TRAVEL CHOICES

This week, we met as a prep team with parents to walk through our remaining travel options and review the price estimates provided by our travel company.

Based on parent availability feedback, we discussed the option of attending a tournament in Scarborough on the June 6–7 weekend and what the cost would be, as well as the available travel options that the committed players and parents can decide on.

This meeting represented our final attempt to secure a travel opportunity for this prep team, after tournaments in January, February, and March were unable to move forward due to low availability. We also discussed an alternative pathway: if the prep team does not have enough players to travel, all Avalon athletes across all Avalon teams will have the opportunity to register for the summer semester, which will extend practices into July, and all summer semester teams will travel to Montreal for the Royal City Classic on July 23–26, 2026.

Please select one of the following options so we can officially understand your player’s plans based on the information discussed at the meeting: (1) move forward with the prep team and travel to Scarborough on June 6–7, (2) register for the summer semester and travel to Montreal in July, (3) do both options 1 and 2, or (4) no longer travel this year. This will give us a clear picture of athlete intentions so we can finalize a plan moving forward.
